文进行了比较分析。第一组译文是从深层来挖掘。诗的意象,独创中有继承,继承中有独创。全诗的另一种意象是花落春残,前三种译文较好地体现了这一情
感。但是,译文选用“crying”一词会强压英文读者接受鸟是在悲鸣的“实”,显得伤感。重要的是,原诗前两句与后两句意境构成一种跌宕的层次,从而表现出诗人复杂的情绪,既喜春又惜春,心绪表达得曲折含蓄。而前三种译文的译者只注重表达诗人的精神感觉,忽略了原诗的写作风格。尽管译文在传递原诗意象及精神方面属上乘之作,但美中不足的是没有了原诗的意味和意境,没能展现出原诗跌宕的层次与复杂的感觉;它只是让读者理解了原诗内容,却没能让读者欣
赏原诗的音美和形美、风格和神韵,得不到原诗的平衡美感,译诗和原诗的“诗味”大不相同。对“啼”的另一种解释是小鸟的欢叫声,鸟儿是在“枝头春意闹”,全诗是“春夜喜雨”,诗文隽永清新。原诗的前两句是描述春天早晨的情景:春眠正酣,早有鸟雀呼晴,催人快起;“处处闻啼鸟”意味着晓与晴,含有喜晴之意。全文是前喜后忧,第二、三组译文可归为此类,尤以第二组见长。
以下是对各个译文的评析:从译诗(1)的后半部来看,翁先生的译文成功地传达了原诗中为花木担忧之情,尤其是结尾部分将原诗作者经风雨而替花愁的情绪表达得十分到位。诗人缘情写景。原诗虽写的是一日之晨,似乎却蕴含着对已到三春之暮的哀怨。“啼鸟”不是在歌唱而是在悲鸣,或者说,诗人听起来是悲鸣。诗人似在自怨自艾,听到的鸟叫也觉得是它们也似乎是在嘲笑自己,似有
“杯弓蛇影”、“风声鹤唳”之嫌?细读翁的译文,读者可能会产生疑问:
译文内容不切。忽略的部分有:首行五字,除“春”字外,其余意思均未译出;后两句的动词“闻”、“知”和第三句的“声”也没有译出;增加的内容如:开篇“Late”一词为原文所无;夜来风雨,何以知天怒而用“fury”?诗人对花落状态未曾明示,“poor dear”这些限定词又从何而来?如果将翁的译文做一个回译,“原文”可为:(首先一声叹息)晚了!今日醒来已晚,可惜春光难挽,
