4.1 Madness and Disorder in Physical Space

Physical space,which can also be regarded as“spatial practice”,is the product ofpeople’s production and reproduction of natural space through concrete practice,which is manifested in concrete places and locations.In Arthur and George,othernegligible characters are also restricted and persecuted to varying degrees in physicalspace.By analyzing the space in which they live,the symbolic meaning of physicalspace and its effects on negligible characters in society can be further explored.
