3、Liang Shiqiu’s Use of Derogatory Terms and Zhu Shenghao’sUse of Neutral Terms

In the translation of Hamlet，readers can also find many examplesin which Liang Shiqiu chooses derogatory terms but Zhu Shenghaoopts the neutral ones.

Marcellus.Thus twice before and jump at this dead hour，withmartial stalk hath he gone by our watch.（Shakespeare 27）

马：这样已经有两次了，在这深更半夜的时候，耀武扬威的在我们守望的地方走过。（tr.Liang 23）

马西勒斯：前两次它也是这样不先不后地在这个静寂的时辰，用军人的步态走过我们的眼前。（tr.Zhu 11）

4、Liang Shiqiu’s Translation of Taboo Words and Zhu She-nghao’s Avoidance of Taboo Words

In translating Hamlet，Mr.Liang translates the sentences whichcontain sex or pornographic content.However，Mr.Zhu omits orchanges them.

Hamlet：In the rank sweat of an enseamed bed，stew’d in corrup-tion，honeying and making love over the nasty sty，（Shakespeare105）

哈：这怕什么，只消在油渍汗臭的床上度日，在淫秽里熏蒸着，倚在那肮脏的猪栏上蜜语做爱。（tr.Liang 187）

哈姆莱特：嘿生活在汗臭后垢腻的眠床上，让淫邪熏没了心窍，在污秽的猪圈里调情弄爱。（tr.Zhu 189）

In this part，the difference lies in their treatments to taboo words.Mr.Liang translates them in words which are obscene.On the oppo-site，Mr.Zhu finds other words which are easier to be accepted byChinese to substitute?them or omits them directly.

Zhu Shenghao receives Chinese Education，and Chinese thinking is not as open as western idea.Besides，Zhu Shenghao is introvertedby nature；person of this character is usually conserved.Therefore，hesubstitutes or omits the taboo words.

Comparing with Zhu Shenghao，Liang Shiqiu is more westerniz-ed.He has the experience of living abroad.Of course，he is impercep-tibly influenced by what he sees and hears there.

5、Liang Shiqiu’s Literal Translation and Zhu Shenghao’s FreeTranslation

Liang Shiqiu is more preferred to translate literally，because hewants to show the readers a version which is mostly close to the orig-inal text which is also influenced by translator’s subjectivity.

Horatio.Friends to this ground（.Shakespeare 25）

何：本国的友人。（tr.Liang 17）

霍拉旭：都是自己人。（tr.Zhu 7）

In each difference，Liang Shiqiu and Zhu Shenghao chose thewords for their style，and that is the effect of translator’s subjectivity

Ⅳconclusion

Different translator has different preference，habit，style，exper-ience，character，family and social environment…，all these composedof translator’s subjectivity.Because translator’s subjectivity，differ-ent strokes for difference folks，different translators’versions differ alot，and it takes affect throughout the translating process.In fact，thereare many differences between Liang Shiqiu’s and Zhu Shenghao’sversions，the thesis just list some of them.Each of them is classic，each of them is the milestone of Chinese translation，each of them con-tributes to the great different versions of Hamlet.
