Abstract
Language is a part of culture. And, devoleping the ability of communication is the ultimate aim of English teaching. English majors want to communicate in English fluently, they must learn the English-speaking countries'culture firstly. The cultural exchange has been a very important problem in English teaching. More and more people has been reached a compromise that communication abilities should contain five parts——four skills(listening, speaking, reading, and writing), and social abilities(differnt culture background people's suit communication. But, in English teaching, teachers pay more attention to the language's outward form and grammer structure. By this way, they only want students to make a correct sentence, but, they neglected the students' communication abilities. It is easy to see that, in English teaching, we must deal with the cross-culture differences seriously, then wo can do the English teaching more efficiently.

摘 要
语言是文化的一部分。发展交际能力是英语教学的最终目的。英语学习者要想熟练使用英语进行交际,必须要了解英语国家的文化。
跨文化交际已经成为英语教学领域的重要研究问题之一。语言能力是交际能力的基础,然而具备了语言能力并不意味着具备了交际能力。越来越多的人已达成共识,即交际能力应包括五个方面:四种技能(听说读写)加上社会能力(即和不同文化背景的人们进行合适交际的能力)。但英语教学中,教师往往比较重视语言的外在形式和语法结构,即培养学生造出合乎语法规则的句子,而忽视了语言的社会环境,特别是语言的文化差异,致使学生难以知道什么场合该说什么话,从而忽视了学生的交际能力。可以看出,在英语教学中一定要处理好中英文化差异,从而更好的进行的教学实际。

As we all know, different countries have different cultures. 'Culture is the collective programming of the mind which distinguishes the members of one category of people from another.' (Hofstede, 1991) It is inevitable that the cultural difference has impact on business. For example, when a company having meeting, the word "table" in American English that means to put something on the agenda. But in British English it means to put something off the agenda. This example indicated how the culture affects the business.
The purpose of middle school English teaching is to improve the students' four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, with the base of necessary phonetics, large vocabulary and good grammar, but this is not the final purpose. The final purpose is to lot let students be able to use the language.
Why do we study English? If a man is only good at listening and speaking, can we say that he is good at English? No, if a man is only good at reading and writing, can we say that he is good at the language? No, if a student is good at English, he should be able to use the language, both in speaking and writing.
