bsp;Chinese  texts  that  include  two  formal  texts  and  twelve  informal  texts containing about 30 thousand words in total as research data, the frequency and features of the three  kinds  of  expansion,  namely  elaboration,  extension,  and  enhancement  in  English  and Chinese  texts  are  analyzed,  and  the  similarities  and  differences  of  logical-semantic  relations between English and Chinese are found, and then the reasons that cause these phenomena are tried to be discovered. The major findings are illustrated as follows: First,  the  features  of  logical-semantic  relations  in  English  and  Chinese  texts.  In  English texts,  people  prefer  using  extension  relation  to  elaborate  the  meaning  of  another.  The enhancement expansion occupies less than extension, but the proportion is  also relative large. However, the elaboration is the least in percentage, so it can be concluded that people do not like  to  further  specify  or  describe  another  clause.  In  Chinese  texts,  the  addition  of  new information  takes  a  large  percentage.  The  enhancement  expansion  occupies  less  than extension. Meanwhile, the elaboration is the least in percentage.
