appy to help you set them up. Projectors make more sense and allow you to use a wide variety of visual options, but some schools may not have a projector for each teacher. They will, on the other hand have overheads.

Projectors are the ideal because today's projectors can hook up to a teachers computer and show everything from Power Points to Pod Casts. However, they are not available teachers can use transparencies on the overhead to assist with visual aids for students. Often, educational transparencies will come with your text. Additionally, they are easy to use. If you have access to the overhead, but cannot find transparencies, you can either order blank ones and create your own, and/or call your text book vender who will be more than happy to provide you with the ones that go along with the textbook. Additionally, you can copy printed pages onto overhead transparencies saving your students from an overabundance of paper and you from copying yet another lesson on the board. Most teachers utilize all three options.
Finding Supplies for Decorating Boards and Walls

For a new teacher the best place to find no cost supplies is in their own school. Many times the media center will have roles of paper that be used as a board cover. Veteran teachers collect supplies over the years that sit in the closet gathering dust and in some districts there are teacher stores where a note from the principal is all that is needed to shop. Most importantly, discussed in Chapter 6 are suggestions on and where to find lesson plans for creative student work for every subject that can and should be displayed in the classroom.
Veteran Teacher Treasures

There is no need for the new teachers to spend additional funds out of their limited first year salaries, when often supplies are simply a couple of classrooms down the hall.

New teachers can share the need for supplies at their department meeting. Veteran teacher's supply closets are a treasure chest full of surplus and most veterans are more than willing to assist the new teacher, not to mention clean out the mess. You may find bulletin board borders, art supplies and maybe even some unopened packages of construction paper that she will not mind letting go of for your student's use later on.

Word Walls

Left behind are the bulletin boards that change with the seasons. Now many middle school teachers create bulletin boards that reflect what students are learning in the classroom. Most often, this means 'Word Walls'. In fact, often school administrators now require Word Walls in all content area teachers' classrooms.

Word walls are made up of vocabulary words relating to the subject taught. For example, a sixth grade language arts teacher introducing literary terms to students may include words such as protagonist, antagonist, plot and theme. A seventh grade math teacher may use concepts such as probability, theoretical probability, and experimental probability. Bulletin boards covered with roll paper from the media center and finished with a nice boarder are perfect for word walls. Words can be cut out with die cutters, printed with an attractive font or word art, cut with scissors closely around the word and backed with construction paper, or simply stenciled. The method used depends upon how long the word wall will stay up and what materials are available to the论文英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写英语论文代写代写论文代写英语论文代写留学生论文代写英文论文留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
