bsp;2011) In the introduction of the dissertation, the hypotheses of several assumptions of English pronunciation teaching in the UK were raised. The scope of the questions relating to this can be seen in the questionnaire and results from the questionnaires will be concluded to test the hypotheses. The aim of this dissertation is finding out the teaching patterns of pronunciation in British schools to help our teachers compare the differences in teaching patterns in English pronunciation between China and the UK. In our country, English is a foreign language, whereas it serves as a native language in the UK. Therefore, it is not feasible to compare the teaching patterns specifically with detailed equivalence of schools and stages in both China and the UK, for British students have the opportunity to learn English pronunciation outside the school. In this case, as long as the focus remains on the elementary level of education, the teaching of English pronunciation is at the same stage. The point of the research in this way shifts to the comparison between mother tongue and foreign language. What is of great importance is for our teachers to gain insights from their teaching of native language through the comparison. According to the literature, the teaching of English in our country has the tendency to be neglected. Therefore, it is of necessity to discuss the data from the questionnaires and the interview to give our teachers certain suggestions. In this chapter, the results generated from the questionnaires will be provided and analysed to test the hypotheses. The focus of this chapter is to find out how teachers in the schools teach students English pronunciation in the UK. The answers were divided into different sections and categories to give a better understanding of the research.

Conclusion
Through the analysis of all the data I have collected, certain conclusions can be drawn.The pronunciation teaching of English is of great importance in the UK. Both the teachers and the schools pay enough attention to help students achieve well pronunciation. This is in accordance with Hypo
