With the development of globalization, the two disciplines of translation and imagology are becoming increasing intertwined. As one of the main means of cross-cultural communication, translation is an important way of presenting and shaping the image; at the same time, the shaping and dissemination of the image is also an important content in the practice and research of translation. The image portrayed in a literary work is not a copy of an exotic image. In the process of translation, translators often reshape the image of “the other” according to their own understanding.
