Feng Zhiwei(2011)stresses that terminology distinguishes science from generalknowledge;without terminology,there would be no science;without terminology,therewould be no knowledge.The value of terminology is also prominent in the finance field,forit underlines the professionalism available in financial news texts.Financial terms appearfrequently in the source text,thus the accurate translation of them is vital for conveying themessage of the text.And Zhang Peiji(2018:7)advocates that the standard of translationproposed by Yan Fu,namely“faithfulness,expressiveness and elegance,”can besummarized into“faithfulness and fluency”.He considers that faithfulness refers to beingfaithful to the content of the source text and preserving the style;fluency means that thelanguage of the translation must be easy to understand and conform to the standard.

Jiang Wangqi(2005:80)argues that the specific criteria for terminology translation,asin all fields of translation,the first consideration is also accuracy.When translating financialterms,the author applied the methods of literal translation and liberal translation in order toachieve the above two translation standards of faithfulness and fluency.

Conclusion

Starting from the background of the translation task,this report describes in detail theprocess of translation practice,analyzes the source text around its lexical and stylisticfeatures,and focuses on the problems in the translation process and their solutions.In theanalysis of lexical features,the author highlighted the criticality of terminology in translationand struck a balance between terminology delivery and expression through the literaltranslation and the liberal translation.In the part of the translation of headlines,the flexibleapplication of omission and shift was adapted to the context and expression of the TL whileretaining the original meaning.Finally,in terms of the C-E sentence conversion,the authorskillfully adopted the translation techniques in order to better convey the information.
