摘要:Many educators and theorists research on the application of CA in vocationalcolleges and universities for the decades in China, but there are not many researcheson the application of CA in basic education, especially the empirical ones.
Conclusion
CA is feasible in oral English teaching of our country. CA is especially in aforeign language school, and it can stimulate students to learn. We have made someprogress in junior middle school oral English teaching, but there are still someproblems we can’t ignore. (Yang Min, 2008:29) Many teachers take simply oralEnglish teaching as a task. They distribute indiscriminately some oral Englishmaterial to their students, play the tape recording repeatedly and ask their students toread after the tape recording. If things go on like this, it is difficult to improvestudents’ speaking ability. Because of their low English proficiency, some Englishteachers seldom speak English in class, so their students have fewer opportunities topractise oral English in class. Generally speaking, effective teaching methods need tobe adopted to change the current situation. CA has become popular in junior middleschool oral English teaching in recent years. Some new text books have been usedsuch as Oxford English, Side by Side, New Century English. These new textbooks,whose rich contents are very good speaking materials, attach great importance to thecommunicative function of English. English teaching educators have realized that theapplication of CA in oral English teaching in junior middle school can make students’language skill develop comprehensively and harmoniously.
