The questionnaire consists of a total of 20 items.Q1,Q2,Q3,and Q16 are theunderstanding of students’attitudes towards learning English prepositional phrases,methods,and the biggest difficulties in learning English prepositional phrases.Q4,Q12,and Q17 are the contextual learning methods in elaboration strategies.Q5,Q10,Q11,and Q15 are the note-taking and elaboration note-taking methods in elaborationstrategies.Q6,Q7,Q8 are the multi-role mnemonic methods in elaboration strategies.Q9 and Q14 are the contrastive learning methods in elaboration strategies,Q13,Q20 arethe mnemonic method in elaboration strategies,and Q18,Q19 are the analogy methodin elaboration strategies.

5.1.1 Status Quote of Strategies for Learning English Prepositional Phrases ofSenior High School Students
Based on the results of interviews and questionnaires,it can be seen that studentsdo not have more understandings of elaboration strategies,but the overall presentationof students towards English prepositional phrases is a positive attitude towardsacceptance.
From interviews with students and teachers,it can be seen that the learningmethods of English prepositional phrases that students adopt mainly focus on directmemory methods.
Students lack sufficient understanding of elaboration strategies and are not familiarwith memory strategies for English prepositional phrases.The current English learningmethods adopted by senior high school students are passive,mainly following theteacher’s pace in English learning.Therefore,the teacher’s guidance for students iscrucial.
5.1.2 The Impact of Integrating ES into the Learning of English PrepositionalPhrases Among Senior High School Students
The author conducts an experiment using questionnaire,interview,and testmethods.After a semester of application of elaboration strategies,it is found that thestudents in the experimental class do achieve a certain degree of improvement in their test scores of English prepositional phrase.In addition,during the interview,thestudents’attitudes toward learning prepositional phrases also undergo a positivetransformation.Ultimately,it is found that elaboration strategies indeed have a certainpromoting effect on the learning and application of English prepositional phrases instudents of senior 1.
