The  World  of  English  translation  contest  began  in  2010,  which  is  sponsored  by  The World  of  English  magazine  of  Commercial  Press.  The  purpose  is  to  promote  the  further development  of  translation,  promote  cultural  exchanges  between  China  and  foreign countries  and  find  translation  stars  in  the  future.  In  May  2014,  the  fifth  session  of  The World  of  English  translation  contest  was  held  and  it  attracted  many  translation  lovers  to participate actively. Conclusion  

Translation standard is the standard of evaluating the quality of translation works, and it is also one of the core problems of translation theory. Translation standard has become a hot topic after translation practice. It means that if there is translation practice, there will be translation quality assessment. About translation quality assessment, different persons hold different standards.  In this paper, the author tries to establish a translation quality assessment model from cognitive approach. Compared with traditional approach, this model treats cognition as the basis,  proposition  as  the  basic  translation  evaluation  unit.  It  is  quite  different  from traditional  evaluation  method.  Based  on  all  of  these,  the  author  formed  the  cognitive translation  quality  assessment  model,  which  is  comparatively  more  objective  than subjective  assessment  methods  in  the  traditional  sense  of  China.  At  the  same  time,  it  is  a comparatively new approach and direction for the study and research of translation quality assessment.  This  paper  takes  the  translation  of  “Limbo”  as  the  analysis  object.  The  result shows that the translation quality assessment model from a cognitive approach is feasible in some degree to analyze and evaluate the quality of translation works.
