摘要:In the international communication, more than 80% of the information isconveyed in English. As one of the developing countries with great potential, Chinapays more attention to English education.

the audio records of students' lesson showed in pretest and posttest. From the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test above we can see that there are 34 students inEC and 36 in CC. In the pretest evaluation, p=0.593 in EC and p=0.373 in CC. In theposttest part, p=0.765 in EC and p=0.420 in CC. All these P values show us that the testdistribution in this experiment is normal and the results got from the data are reliable.

Conclusion


This thesis focuses on cultivating teacher euphemism awareness of Englishmajor students in normal colleges. By means of quantitative (experiment) andqualitative (interview) analysis,this research draws some key conclusions andfindings which may give answers to the questions put forward in Chapter One. Themain conclusions are listed as follows:Firstly, undergraduates need the advanced knowledge of euphemism as eagerlyas postgraduates. As we know, most undergraduates will find jobs and fight for theirfuture life the moment they graduate from colleges and only a few of them willcontinue with their further education, which means that the knowledge of euphemismcannot be accessed by undergraduates. From the experiment we have found out thatEnglish major students in normal colleges have a very low euphemism level in theirprocess of applying what they have learnt into practice. They really need one way toimprove their English.
