摘要:The aim of this paper is to sum up experiences, to show practices, andalso to strive for a certain degree of theoretical level. From the view ofresearch sphere, which is also the content related to it, it's obvious thatthe theory background, social value and operation of research activitiesand aspects of teachers' school-based research, are all embodied in theresearch.

arch in our country, the author thinks that the teachers'school-based research in our country could tend to lay stress on workingout teachers' personal value and needs of teachers' development. Thispaper will research into the problem based on value orientation, researchsubject, research content, researching mode and management mechanismfrom teachers' school-based research aspect. Rooting in needs forautogenic of teachers' practice, exceeding the leading position ofteachers' autonomous learning and research are the core of this paper.

Chapter One Literature Review


1.1 Case Study
Scholars have different opinions on defining case study. Mirarelmoffers a definition from the perspective of research object, and he thinksthat as long as there are detailed and complete descriptions and analysisto a bounded system, such as a case, an agency, a person or a social unit,these are all the so-called case study. Robert. K. Yin defines it fromMethodology, a case study is an exploratory research done by researchersthrough multiple data sources and aims at those phenomena or actshappening in real life (Robert. K. Yin 2004). Lin Peixuan puts forward adefinition from the perspective of research aim, case study is to discussthe feature of a case in a certain atmosphere so that we could understandits characteristic and complexity (Lin Peixuan 2000). To make a generalobservation of these views of scholars at home or abroad, they mainlymake definitions from perspective of research object, research methodand research aim. Actually, we can combine these three. Case study is aresearch method which aims at a person, a group or an event, and collectsdata extensively and makes use of various methods and analyzingtechniques, to go deep into a research of phenomena in a complexcondition.

1.2 School-based Research
Researchers found that there were many researches which were onthe subject of school-based research and teachers' professionaldevelopment, but there were few cases taking the school-based researchpromoting teachers' professional development as research direction,especially about middle school English teachers' professionaldevelopment. Moreover, researches available nowadays mainly use theexperience of other countries' theories and strategies, but lack those localresearches especially practice researches. In Education Encyclopaedia, it analyzes and sums up the"school-based" subject of the world in education management part asbelow: In most developed countries and rising industrialization countries,school-based management is an important part of education reform.People call it the management on the basis of school, local managementof school and self-management of school. Some factors related toteachers' development become the root of development of modemschool-based management, though such factors haven't been tested in anunified way in each country, practice proves it.
