14.两个连词碰在一起时，要分清各自的作用。如：
I wonder whether what you said is practical. (whether引导宾语从句到最后；而
what引导主语从句到said.)

的名词性从句用should+动词原形表虚拟,should可省略。如：
I suggest that he should be sent to hospital.
My suggestion is that he should be sent to hospital.
This is my suggestion that he should be sent to hospital.
It is suggested that he should be sent to hospital.
②It is important/essential/necessary/natural/strange/a pity……that从句中用should+动词原形表虚拟,should可省略。
③insist that宾语从句中，若为即将发生的动作，insist译为“坚持要求”，则宾语从句中用should +动词原形表虚拟；insist that 宾语从句中，若为过去发生的某个事实，insist译为“坚持认为”, 则宾语从句中用真实语气，即相应的时态。如：The worker insisted that he wasn’t wrong and that the boss should make an apology to him.
④suggest译为“建议”,其后的宾语从句用should+动词原形表虚拟；若译为“暗示”，其后的宾语从句用真实语气，即相应的时态。如：
Mary’s pale face suggested that he was ill and her mother suggested that she should go to see the doctor.
⑤It’s(high/about) time that从句中用前推一时态(现在或将来前推一时态都为一般过去时；过去前推一时态为过去完成时)表虚拟，也可用should+动词原形表虚拟。
⑥wish后的宾语从句用前推一时态表虚拟。

  The reason why he was late for school was that he was ill.
②A is to B what C is to D.  “A对B 的重要性好比C对D的重要性。” 如：
  Water is to fish what air is to human beings.

the key to solving the problem lies.

   ⑥ There is no/much chance/possibility that 同位语从句。
      take it for granted that真宾语从句。
      see to it that真宾语从句.
      count on it that真宾语从句.
      make it clear that真宾语从句.
      answer for it that真宾语从句
      find/think it +形容词+to do不定式
      There is no point doing sth.
      There is no need to do sth.
      There is no doubt that从句。
      It is no wonder (that) 从句。
   ⑦It is well known that ……
       As is well known, ……
       What is well known is that……
⑧It is certain that……
    It is uncertain whether ……
 ⑨sb./sth.is said/considered/thought/reported/believed to have done sth.
 ⑩The output this year is five times what it was before liberation. 
四. 解题步骤：
1 翻译句子。 2 判断出所填的连词引导的是名词性从句。 
3 分析设空所在句子的成分，若少主，宾，表则用 what ；若不缺成分和意义，则用that;否则据意义选择。
4 注意所有的从句用陈述语序。
