Chapter Four   Results and Discussion 

In this chapter, the results and discussion of the students’ and teachers’ questionnaires, interviews with the teachers and the students respectively as well as the classroom observation will be presented. The application of the learning plan in the junior middle school English classes will be discussed from the point of the students and the teachers respectively.  

4.1 The Results and Discussion of the Students’ Questionnaire 

There are 20 questions in students’ questionnaire and in this section the author also makes an analysis of the students’ questionnaire, which includes the students’ attitude towards the learning plan, the compilation and design of the learning plan, the implementation of the learning plan, and the changes of the students brought by the learning plan. Attitude towards learning plan here refers to whether the students like the current learning plan teaching model and whether they can take the learning plan seriously. Question one and question two are questions about students’ attitude. The first question in the student’s questionnaire is “Do you like the current learning plan guided teaching model?” students have different opinions.Table 4-1 shows that 13%students don’t like the present new teaching model and 16%students hold the view that the current learning plan makes no difference to them. However, there are 66%students like the present teaching model and 5%students like it very much. Such data is glad to be seen as it shows that the majority students like this teaching model. If they like it, they will be willing and glad to learn English with the learning plan. Therefore, they will benefit a lot from the learning plan.

Conclusion

The author makes an investigation into the application of the learning plan in junior middle school in this thesis. In this chapter, the author tries to conclude the whole thesis based on the collected data and the analysis. There are three parts in this chapter: the major findings of the investigation, the limitations of the present study as well as some suggestions for English teaching and future research.  There are three research questions in this research, the author will answer them one by one. Teachers’ and students’ attitude towards the learning plan:most of the teachers approve of the learning plan guided teaching model and are willing to use the learning plan in the daily teaching. What’s more, the majority of the students are also satisfied with such teaching model because they like the active class instead of the dull and boring class.
