4.1 Lexical Translation

Vocabularies contain both words and the meanings of phrases.According to thetheory of functional equivalence,translation must first make words meaningful,andaccurate word translation can truly express the meaning of words.Therefore,in theprocess of translation,translators should consider the vocabulary repeatedly accordingto the context.And in the process of vocabulary translation,the translation ofprofessional terms and the conversion of parts of speech occurred repeatedly,whichrequired the translator to constantly speculate.

4.1.1 Reference for Technical Terms

Technical terms refer to the industry in a specific field of some specific thingsprescribed by the unified name.Technical terms are characterized by professionalism,accuracy,unity and dynamic change,so the translation of such words requires thetranslator to be extremely rigorous(Liu Jingyun&Lan Jie,2019).Due to the extensiveuse of corpus and terminology,some technical terms can be directly translated whenmemoQ is used to assist translation.However,some parts have not formed a fixedtranslation in the corpus,so after translation,these terms need to be manually correctedafter consulting relevant data.

In the source text,some professional terms are composed of common words,which have various meanings in the ordinary text,but their meanings in the specialcontext are relatively simple and fixed.Therefore,the translator combined the contextto find and verify professional explanations in many ways to achieve lexicalequivalence.
