摘要:本文是一篇英语论文提纲,本翻译实践选取了苏·沃顿(Sue Wharton)和菲尔·雷斯(Phil Race)合著《对外英语教学的500个建议》(500 Tips for TESOL(Teaching English to Speakersof Other Languages))的第三、四章内容进行了翻译与研究。

in itself(Meng Honghong,2022).Therefore,in thistranslation practice,the translator selects the third and fourth chapters of 500 Tips forTESOL(Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)by Sue Wharton and PhilRace as translated texts,combining the functional equivalence theory of Eugene A.Nida and translating with CAT technology,in order to obtain inspiration in educationand teaching,provide experience and Reference for English teaching in the future,andimprove the translation ability.

Chapter Two Translation Process

2.1 Pre-translation

In order to accurately translate the source text and successfully complete thepractice report,adequate preparation should be made firstly.The translator’spreparation includes analyzing current situation of foreign language teaching in China,selecting and determining the best translation theory and auxiliary translation toolsaccording to the characteristics of the source text.

2.1.1 Analysis of Parallel Text

Before starting the translation,the translator has consulted the relevant content offoreign language teaching on the Internet to understand the current situation of foreignlanguage teaching in China,especially the present situation of English teaching and theinevitable trend of its development.There are still regional differences in Englishteaching for foreign students in China.English teachers in different areas,such as urbanareas and rural areas,coastal areas and inland areas,western areas and eastern areas,are significantly different in terms of educational level,teaching experience and evenpronunciation,which also leads to the increasing gap in English learning level amongstudents in different areas.But looking at the current international situation,learningEnglish is an inevitable requirement.Therefore,English teaching has become one ofthe focuses of daily teaching activities,which requires the strength of English teachersto be stronger,the teaching materials to be more reasonable,and the teachingequipment to keep up with the development of education,the growth of students’knowledge and the cognitive ability of students.Affected by the new curriculum reform,quality education has penetrated into every aspect of our country’s educational field,and the requirement of English teaching has also been higher.

2.2 While-translation

After all the preparatory work has been completed,the formal translation begins.In the process of translation,it is necessary to consider the translation repeatedly.

2.2.1 Preliminary Translation
