5.1.Research Findings
In the era of rapid development of information,knowledge visualization tools are a newteaching method.Combining knowledge visualization tools with primary school Englishreading teaching can play an important role in teachers’teaching and students’learning.Forteachers,they can update their teaching concepts and formulate teaching strategies that meetthe characteristics of the times and adapt to modern information technology.For students,it ishelpful to improve students’ability of independent learning and adapt to the rapidlydeveloping information society.Through comparative experiments,this study verifies theapplication effectiveness of knowledge visualization tools in primary school English readingteaching from three aspects:students’reading interest,students’reading ability,and Englishgeneralization and expression ability.The teaching effect of using knowledge visualizationtools in primary school English reading class is better than the traditional teaching mode.Themain findings of this study are summarized as follows:
Firstly,knowledge visualization tools can effectively improve students’interest inreading English.For elementary school students,interest is the best teacher,and interest is thesource of knowledge.This is enough to show how important students’interest in learning is inprimary school.This also warns front-line teachers to pay attention to stimulating and cultivating students’interest in learning.Knowledge visualization tools,as a well-illustratedmaterial,have several advantages in English teaching.First,knowledge visualization toolscan simplify complex knowledge and summarize the main content of the text in short andintuitive phrases,so that students can easily memorize.Second,knowledge visualization toolsare rich in color,which can make boring knowledge changes flexible and vivid.Third,knowledge visualization tools provide opportunities for group cooperation,promotes bettercommunication among students,and can give play to their respective strengths.Driven bythese advantages,students can feel that English reading is a short,enriching and relaxedactivity,so the use of knowledge visualization tools in primary school English readingteaching can effectively increase students’interest in English reading.
