摘要:本文是一篇商务英语论文翻译,本文主要研究问题如下:(1)从图式理论和动态对等理论角度,中国航空公司简介的汉译英中存在哪些动态不对等问题?(2)为什么会存在这些不对等问题?(3)如何解决这些不对等问题以实现中国航空公司简介的汉译英的动态对等?

ocess.Firstly,decoding the ST and activating the ST schemata from language,content and culture;secondly,comparing the ST and TT and actively constructing theschemata of the TT;lastly,verifying the accomplishment of dynamic equivalencesbetween the schemata of ST and TT and polishing the TT again.After the three steps,the author will respectively cite the profile selections of Air China(CA)①,ChinaSouthern(CZ)②,Hainan Airlines(HU)③,XIAMEN AIR(MF)and Spring Airlines(9C)④to analyse the dynamic non-equivalence problems in the translation process.

4.1.1 Analysis of C-E Translation of CA Profiles

As the most representative airline in China,CA is pretty so significant that it isthe only civil airline in China that flies with the national flag.Thus,the author willselect the C-E profile ofAir China and analyze its translation processes.

TT:Todays’ Air China can trace its origins to 1988 when Air China InternationalCorporation was established.The design alsofeatures the calligraphic version of CAs’Chinese name,a reproduction of the handwriting by late Chinese leader DengXiaoping,the architect of Chinas’ drastic social and economic transformation wholaid the foundation for the countrys’ economic power.The corporate logo of CAdepicts phoenix,a legendary bird worshiped by the nation since ancient times as asymbol of luck and happiness.With imagination stretched a bit,the way the logo islaid out recalls the English word“VIP”.The deep red color is used since its’associated with anything happy and lucky in Chinese culture.Chinese ancientliterature contains constant references to the bird whichflies from the eastern HappyLand over mountains and seas and bestows luck and happiness upon all parts of theworld.Our vision is to become a leading carrier in the world.Our mission stressesoperational safety,customer orientation,steady growth,people development andfulfillment of responsibilities.Our brand positioning is to be a professional,trusted,internationally respected Chinese brand closely associated with China.

CHAPTER 5CONCLUSION

5.1 Major Findings

This dissertation analyzes the translation problems in the C-E translation ofChinese airlines’profiles from the perspectives of schema and dynamic equivalencetheories in the aspects of language,content and culture,and gets the followingfindings:

In terms of language,it is mainly reflected in inaccurate and inappropriatewording,omission or deletion of key information.For example,words and sentencesfor presenting airlines’history,awards or other items in the ST are translated intoEnglish only through literal expression,or even deleting the elusive contents,losingtheir actual meaning and implication,especially when translating classical Chineseand other unique Chinese elements.
