CONCLUSION 

This section is an overview of the contents of the previous six chapters. In chapter 1, it is a brief introduction of the whole study, including research topic, research  rational,  research  questions,  data  collection  and  methodology,  and  the organization of the present thesis. Chapter  2  introduces  the  previous  researches  and  studies  on  corpus-based translation, translation quality assessment, propositional content, and legal speech acts. After reviewing these academic achievements, it is found that although each topic has been paid great efforts on, but not much attention has been given to an integral study of  those  topics.  The  present  study  aims  to  build  a  new  TQA  model  which  can effectively  be  applied  to  assess  the  propositional  contents  in  legislative  texts  by integrating the important elements of the theories mentioned.  Chapter  3  focuses  on  the  building  of  the  theoretical  framework  for  legal translation  analysis.  The  theories  adopted  are  mainly  speech  acts  in  pragmatics  and equivalence  strategy  in  translation.  By  analyzing  the  features  of  legislative  texts,  a proposed  TQA  model  thus  come  into  shape.  Actually  there  are  two  TQA  models proposed, with model 1 to generally rate the translation into three levels: good, pass, and fail, and model 2 to assess the translation with a specific score from 0 to 10.  In  light  of  theoretical  framework  put  forth  in  chapter  3,  Chapter  4  talks  about methodology, data collection, and also the specific assessing procedures are illustrated in  this  section.  What’s  more  a  pilot  study  is  carried  out  as  an  attempt  to  test  the feasibility of the proposed TQA model 1 by just analyzing four legislative texts.
