摘要:本文是一篇小学英语论文题目,本研究选取江苏省南京市某小学六年级的两个平行班的学生作为研究对象,共100名学生,并进行了为期16周的实验。实验班采用翻转课堂教学模式,控制班则采用传统教学。两个班级各50名同学,实验前,两个班的学生英语水平大致相同。

Chapter 2 Literature Review

2.1 Studies on Oral English Teaching

This chapter mainly introduces definition of oral ability as well as study status about oralEnglish teaching.

2.1.1 Definition of Oral Ability

Oral English ability refers to a student’s ability to communicate orally and use languagein a precise manner in the target language.It is a measure of a student’s English languageproficiency and can be considered in three dimensions:complexity,precision and fluency,containing the ability to use the elements of language,discourse organization andsociolinguistic competence.The ability to use the elements of language refers to the ability touse phonetics,vocabularies and grammatical structures accurately in order to achieve vividand rich language.The ability of discourse organization means the use of linking words andconjunctions,the length of continuous discourse,and the articulation and coherence ofsentences or parts of speech.Sociolinguistic competence refers to the ability to expressoneself appropriately using oral communication strategies and to participate effectively in oralcommunication activities at different scales.In addition to this,many scholars emphasizefluency,accuracy and coherence in the English language,mainly including readingcompetence,language organization competence and speaking competence.For Primary 5 and6 students,reading competence refers to the ability to accurately and fluently read the words,phrases,sentences,etc.Language organization competence refers to the process by whichstudents can use words to express themselves accurately.Speaking competence is the abilityof students to use language to communicate simply and effectively with others after teachershave taught them to speak.Developing speaking competence is the goal of English teachingand the teacher can enrich classroom activities to make students aware of the relevantlanguage rules so that they can communicate by using them eventually.

2.2 Definitions of Flipped Classroom

Flipped,which means upside down,there is still no authoritative definition of theconcept of the flipped classroom.General speaking,flipped classroom,a new teaching mode,is different from the traditional teaching mode completely.It can be understood as the reversalof the roles of students and teachers,the reversal of teaching content and methods,or thereversal of teaching and learning.In short,flipped classroom is a“reversed classroomteaching mode”.The traditional teaching process generally consists of two stages:the transferof knowledge and the internalization of knowledge.The transfer of knowledge isaccomplished through the teacher’s instruction in class,while the internalization of knowledge needs to be completed by students through homework after class.Under the newflipped classroom teaching mode,these two stages are reversed,with students mainlycompleting the task of learning knowledge by watching videos and PPT before class,andmainly completing the task of internalizing knowledge in class,transforming the traditional“teacher-centre论文英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写英语论文代写代写论文代写英语论文代写留学生论文代写英文论文留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
