e year 1971 saw Halliday apply transitivity analysis to William Golding’s The Inheritors，which was second to none in the field of transitivity and considered as an innovation in SFG.
Since then,many scholars had attempted to analyze different types of discourses in Halliday’s way,thus made SFG gain increasing popularity.In this thesis,through accurate statistics and analysis,the transitivity feature of conclusions written by native speakers and Chinese researchers can be found respectively,which provides the author a starting point to investigate the original reason leading to different transitivity feature.According to quantitative and qualitative study,the author targets the different cultural root and the habit to use language,etc.
