摘要:本文是一篇英语教学法论文,本研究以高二阶段学生的英语读后续写中的普遍错误类型及其与班级类型和性别之间的关系为研究对象,采用个案研究法、比较法、数据分析法等方法,研究读后续写的水平与可供选择的教学策略之间可能存在的关系。

a certain difference in the performance of continuation writingerrors between the liberal arts class and the science class,indicating that errors madein continuation writing are related to the class type;But contrary to popular belief,liberal arts students aren’t better at writing than science students,even though theyhave higher English proficiency.Second,the data showed that gender was not themain factor affecting the different types of errors made in continuation writing.Therefore,no more analysis on that has been discussed.Third,the research data showthat although the science class makes less syntactic errors than the liberal arts class ingeneral,the two classes are most likely to make running sentence errors and wordorder errors.Fourth,judging by the frequency of lexical errors,both classes weremore likely to make mistakes with verbs,but the liberal arts classes were more likelyto make mistakes with nouns and subject-verb agreement,and the science classeswere more likely to make mistakes with determiners and prepositions.Fifth,the datashowed that students in the liberal arts class and the science class showed the sameperformance in the technical specification errors,tending to make spelling errors,capitalization errors,missing commas,and incorrect use of periods.

To sum up,the two classes showed the same performance in syntax errors,technical specification errors and other errors,but there were some differences inlexical errors,indicating that teachers should strengthen lexical teaching in theteaching process.

In addition,one reason that students in science class performance better incontinuation writing than students in liberal arts class may be that because sciencestudents keep more in touch with numbers and logic,they are more rigorous aboutrequirements,which promote they are more sharp in the examination.Therefore,students in science class can write continuation with the consistency of requirementsin the writing to get more scores.
