摘要:本文是一篇英语素质教育论文,我们通过研究得出的结论对中国其他地区的中学英语教师仍有一定的参考价值。本研究主要采用描述性分析、独立样本T检验和单因素方差分析对通过问卷调查和访谈收集的有关中学英语教师专业能力的数据进行分析。
Based on the above-listed research problems, the purpose of the research can be summarized as the following three aspects.
1) In order to find out the deficiencies of the professional competence of middle school English teachers and to provide some suggestions for teachers to improve their professional competence.
2) In order to help English teachers accurately improve their professional competence so that they can better cultivate students’ English key competence.
3) To provide reference for the team construction of middle school English teachers in Zhoushan Archipelago New Area.
ChapterChapter Two Literature Review
2.1 Relevant Definitions
Some relevant definitions derived from the related literature are interpreted in this part. At first, conceptual framework of key competence is introduced respectively from home and abroad, and then the contents of English key competence will be analyzed in order to identify the new requirements for the professional competence of English teachers. Finally, the relevant researches concerning English teachers’ professional development at home and abroad are reviewed so as to provide theoretical support for this research.
2.1.1 Definitions of Key Competence at Home and Abroad
Jones and Voorhees et al. point out in their research that competence is an excellent trait (based on the traits and characteristic of individuals) expressed by integrating the existing learning experience and the knowledge, abilities and skills developed in the learning process(2002:1-15). It can be seen that the definition of competence in all countries around the world is in the same general direction. They all emphasize the integration of competence rather than the ability of a single aspect. In the current wave of education reform, international organizations and countries all over the world pay great attention to the basic education reform with “competence” as the key aspect. Then how do different international organizations and countries interpret the concept of “key competence”? And what kinds of framework of key competence did they develop?
2.1.1.1 Definitions of Key Competence Abroad
