Conclusion


The researcher also suggests that the parents should negotiate each other to make surethere is a one parent to take care of their child’s English study. Or if they can’t tutor their kids,the parents can communicate more with the English teacher who can assist their kids to study.The whole society should concern about the issue of the cooperation between schoolsand families for the special group of migrant workers’ children. The home-school cooperationshould be strengthened between different schools in the different areas. It is important tosupport those schools which are active and effective in the implementation of thehome-school cooperation. We can expand the mode of cooperation both in the form andcontent. For instance, depending on home visits, home journal and parents’ committee,teachers can get contact with migrant children’ parents, and parents can also know theirchildren’s learning situation. The combination of face-to-face consultation and onlinecommunication can enrich the content of family educational guidance. The issue ofhome-school cooperation is a new topic, which needs to be strengthened and researchedimmediately.
Generally speaking, this study is a good try to investigate the current English learningsituation of migrant workers’ children. And it provides some valuable evidences andinformation about migrant children’s English learning. We hope that more participants atdifferent levels and more teachers will be employed in future studies. This study is only aninvestigation on the English learning of migrant workers’ children in junior high schools.There still is more work need to be done in this area in the future study. Therefore, theresearcher believes that this study is only a beginning and hopes that further study will becarried out.
