4   Data Analysis and Discussions 

In  this  chapter,  the  results  of  the  experiment  and  data  analysis  will  be  presented.  The data collected from the pre-test and two post-test will be analyzed to answer the questions that  have  been  raised  in  the  chapter  three  with  the  help  of  the  statistic  analysis  software SPSS21.0. 

4.1 Data Analysis  
In  order  to  verify  whether  Phonics  employed  in  primary  school  help  students  to promote their vocabulary learning and memorization, the statistics of pre-tests and post-tests of both groups will be analyzed. The results are shown as follows.Before  the  experiment,  a  pre-test  was  held  in  both  the  experimental  class  and  the control class, which aimed to test the vocabulary of students. The results of the pre-test were going to make a comparison with those of the post-tests. In order to ensure the validity and reliability of the test, the tests were made according to their English book. The total score of the  test  is  40  points.  And  the  test  is  composed  of  written  examination  (30  points)  and  oral examination (10 points). From the table 4.3, it is clear that the mean of the post-test in the EG is 32.1 and in the CG  the  mean  is  31.89.  The  mean  of  the  EG  is  a  little  higher  than  that  of  the  CG.  And  the standard  deviation  in  the  EG  is  4.139,  which  is  4.865  in  the  CG.  The  sig  2-tailed  is  0.591 (0.591>0.05), which means there is no significant difference between the two groups. That proves in a short time, the words’ reading ability has the same influence by conducting the two methods.

Conclusions
