There are many active sentences in Chinese, and when these sentences are translated into English, they are often more suitable to be expressed in passive sentences. Therefore, the translator should adjust the voice of the sentences appropriately when translating, so that the translation is more in line with English habits.

2.2 While-Translation Process

At lexical level, the translator focused on the translation of culture-loaded words.  When encountering a culture-loaded word that the translator didn't know well, the translator first tried to find out the meaning of the word in Chinese, and she used the internet to search or asked experts and so on. After knowing the meaning of the culture-loaded words, the translator tried her best to make readers understand easily without losing their cultural connotation. 

At syntactic level, the translator paid attention to the differences between Chinese and English, adjusted the structure and voice of sentences according to different contexts, made sentences easier to be understood by readers, and at the same time paid attention to keeping the original meaning of sentences.

At discourse level, because Chinese is a parataxis language, while English is a hypotaxis language, translators paid attention to analyzing the internal logical structure between sentences and adding logical words appropriately to reflect the logical relationship between sentences in the translation.

Because this text is  an ethnic culture text, many culture-loaded words inevitably appear in the text. As for culture-loaded words, Hu Wenzhong (1999) defined them in his book Intercultural Communication Series: culture-loaded words are words within a specific cultural scope and direct and indirect reflection of ethnic culture in language vocabulary. In other words, culture-loaded words are words that are missing from the target culture. The translation becomes difficult because of these words. How to make the translation not only convey the meaning of the source text, but also make it easy for readers to understand is a problem that the translator needs to think about.
