Introduction This chapter will present the background, problem definition and purpose of this thesis. This will be conducted by formulating a research problem and specific research questions.

The objective of this report is to develop and investigate which entry market strategy for Envizen’s Portable TVs would be most profitable in Germany. ENV needs to investigate how, when and to whom exactly to sell the portable TVs in Germany, in an effort to achieve the most profitable sales for the products. The strategic plan will include an analysis of ENVs by operational, financial and sales management. Once this is completed the external environment will be researched to gain an understanding and an overview of the German market. This will be done using the industry analysis, competition analysis, distribution channels and customer analysis. This will then be followed by choosing the best segment for ENVs portable TVs in Germany which will then be followed by an entry strategy.
• Time of implementation
The best period of the year to launch the portable TVs will be decided. The results of the external analysis will be used to determine the best period of the year to launch the portable TV’s in order to maximize sales. The time frame for the implementation will be two years, which is as from 2013 up until 2015.
Operation and Financial plan
This chapter will include the operational plan of ENV https://www.51lunwen.org/kaitibaogao/ , which are the steps and responsibilities of implementing the recommendation on the preferred entry strategy. Here, a description of the short-term ways of achieving milestones will be explained. It will also explain how, or what portion of, a strategic plan will be put into operation during a given operational period, in the case of ENV, the plan is based over two fiscal year, that is as from June 2013 until the end of 2015.
