Here comes another great accomplishment of Franklin Roosevelt——the shaping of post-war world after 1945. As the Allies neared victory, Roosevelt played a critical role in shaping the post-war world, particularly through the Yalta Conference and the creation of the United Nations. Later, alongside the United States, the Allies defeated Germany, Italy and Japan. It was Franklin Roosevelt that first came up with the idea of setting up a cooperation that stops wars between countries and provides a platform for dialogue.

However, Franklin Roosevelt has come across with unbelievable difficulties in both setting the blueprint of post-war world and the proceeding of New Deal. The priority of New Deal is the relief of the unemployed, reform of business and financial practices, and recovery of the economy during The Great Depression, which will unavoidably do harm to the benefits of the entrepreneurs. Those entrepreneurs are people who have great power and influence over the whole country and they have made every effort to prevent New Deal from proceeding in order to make sure that they keep their fortune.

The entrepreneurs are not the only impediment of New Deal. Franklin Roosevelt also received stress given by his political opponents. Franklin Roosevelt was the only U.S. president to have served more than two terms, his opponents were desperately to take over his authority, especially the former president Herbert Clark Hoover. President Hoover was not only famous for his humanism but also famous for his isolationism. During World War II , most people in America including most of the politicians stick with the idea that USA should not be involved in the battle in Europe. Geographically, USA is surrounded by the Pacific ocean and the Atlantic ocean. Therefore, those people did not think that USA was related to the war over seas. Not to mention, USA had a great issue with UK back then.

These were merely the problems from the dissenters. There were people who were way too radical about the proceeding of New Deal, which would have ruined the whole plan. President Roosevelt had to convince those people to slow down the process, and meanwhile, maintain a clear head to prevent himself from being radical.

Historian Arthor Schlesinger, Jr. once said that Franklin Roosevelt was born to be a president. Franklin Roosevelt was a gifted leader. First of all, he never rushed into any decision and he never try to win all the time. During his proceeding of New Deal, he retreated in order to proceed when the congress started to put pressure against the president. As a leader, President Roosevelt was aware of the power of people. Whenever the government had to establish any policy, the president would sit behind the radio and speak to every single individual in the country. He paraphrased the profound policy into expressions that were much easier for the public to understand, which the historians called as the fireside chats. Through this method, the president was able to gain a great support from the people all over the country. Therefore, the process of New Deal was a lot easier to be carried on.

Moreover, the president kept himself clear-headed all the time, even if the New Deal achieved a big success during the first New Deal of 1933. This is hard. People thrill after this kind of big success, but he did not. Franklin Roosevelt was aware of the difficulties that he would be facing and he did not let himself being drow论文英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写英语论文代写代写论文代写英语论文代写留学生论文代写英文论文留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
