摘要:本文是英语语言学论文,本论文的启示有:1)试卷设计者应扩大 PRETCO-B 考试听力理解类型的多样性并且应用更多真实和自然的日常生活和涉外事宜的听力材料;2)不同主题和题材的听力材料应该在平时训练中提供给学生们。
interactiveness; second, the chosen topics is familiar to the testees and the genre and style of short passage in listening materials are valid; third, the authenticity of audio input need to be improved due to the perfect and precise accent and pronunciation; fourth, the length and speed of listening materials are moderate and advisable. Therefore, we should conduct more effects to improve the appropriateness of the test content for assessing the testees’ comprehensive language competence and in order to design a better PRETCO-B paper.

conclusion
Though the writer has put great efforts to conduct and complete this research systematically and scientifically, there are still some insufficiencies and limitations in this dissertation, which are presented as follows:
1) First of all, the subjects of the investigation in this research are chosen at random from the Jiangxi College of Construction and Jiangxi Vocational College of Economic Management. These two vocational colleges are merely two representatives of schools of construction and economy in Jiangxi Province. Nevertheless, two schools are far from enough. The later researchers should count in more vocational college students who come from various vocational and specialty colleges in their later and further studying with the purpose of gaining more scientific and overall studying result.
2) Secondly, the studying object is only the listening comprehension subtest. As a matter of fact, other parts of PRETCO-B such as translation, reading comprehension etc. ought to be researched in the later research in order to obtain reliable and comprehensive acquaintance of the listening comprehension subtest. Just only when all the parts of the test are coincident internally, can each part be believed to be valid. Hence, the writer suggests that other parts in the PRETCO-B should be added in the further studying for the sake of getting impartial and full-scale understanding on the validity.
3) Thirdly, due to the limited times, the writer only research the face validity, content validity and user response validity of the listening comprehension subtest in PRETCO-B from Dec.2008 to Jun. 2013. Therefore, the results of validity study on PRETCO-B listening subtest aren’t all-around and incomplete.
