After World War II, the teaching of language and culture in Europe was influenced by the American listening and speaking method and the audiovisual law of Western Europe, making cultural background knowledge to learn. Since the 1980s, Europe has embarked on many large-scale language teaching reforms and cultural teaching research, setting off a wave of reform. Widdowson (1978) discussed classroom cultural teaching practices, arguing that cultural significance plays an important role in the teaching of foreign languages.

4.1 Results of Questionnaire and Discussion
In this part, the questionnaire was analyzed and discussed, helping to learn about the current situation of cultural awareness cultivation in English reading class.
4.1.1 Analysis of Questionnaires
Through literature research, a questionnaire on cultural awareness in high school English reading classes was designed. The questionnaire included 16 multi-choice questions and one open question left for collecting more practical suggestions or something that hadn’t been taken into full consideration, concerning the cultural awareness cultivation in the teaching process. The questionnaire was distributed to the students in Grade 1, and 110 copies were return valid (See Appendix 10). The researcher used SPSS21.0 as statistical analysis software to conduct the analysis. After transforming the choices in this way: A=1, B=2, C=3 and numbering the questionnaire in order of 1 to 110, the SPSS analysis report gave the Cronbach.� ratio=0.602 (See Table 4.1), which was higher than 0.6. The reliability was showing that the scale had relatively good internal consistency and high reliability.

5.1 Main Findings
With the purpose of researching the key issue of this study, which was to explore the correlation between cultural awareness cultivation and English reading achievement in high school, the research questions mentioned at first have been answered one by one.
(1) The current situation of the cultural awareness cultivation in high school English reading classes was not remarkable. The influencing factors were the influence of government policy, the teachers’ overlooking or shortage of cultural knowledge, and the feature of the cultural awareness cultivation itself.
