摘要:本文是一篇英语教学论文发表,在对高中生创新性思维培养现状和影响因素分析之后,作者从英语课程、教师、学生等三个方面提出了相关建议,以期为高中英语老师在读后续写教学中,落实学生创新性思维培养,提供借鉴和参考。

eaching suggestions are put forward to improve the current teachers’ continuation writing. Based on the research results, this thesis raises some suggestions for senior high school English continuation writing teaching based on creative thinking ability. 

Chapter 2 Literature Review

2.1 Definition of Key Terms

In this section, the definitions of creative thinking and continuation writing will be introduced. 

2.1.1 Creative Thinking

As for creative thinking, no universally acknowledged concept has been developed so far. Scholars have varied understandings of creative thinking due to different research perspectives, and they have come up with different definitions. Cihai (an encyclopedic dictionary) defines creative thinking as a form of thinking that creates new images and new things, mainly in terms of the pursuit of novelty, sensitivity to problems, association and imagination. Currently, psychologists define it as “a proactive thinking activity that uses novel and unique ways to solve problems according to a goal or task” (Luo Lingling, 2008). For example, Zhao Qingmei believed that creative thinking is a variety of states of thought that individuals present under the best psychological effects, including intuition, inspiration, imagination and creativity. According to Zhou Mingxing (2000), creative thinking is a thinking activity based on the ability to perceive, remember, think, associate and understand, which has the characteristics of exploratory, novelty and synthesis, etc. in the process of human thinking. According to Liu Junmin and Zhang Junhua (2005), creative thinking referred to original thinking, which could not only suggest the essence of things, but also provide new and valuable thinking results based on it, and creative thinking had different characteristics compared with general thinking. In contrast, Zhang Deqi (2018) believed that creative thinking had a broad and narrow sense. In the broad sense, creative thinking was the creator’s ability to find new relationships and answers from certain things through existing knowledge and experience to create new, advanced, integrated, and complex thinking activities; in the narrow sense, creative thinking could also specifically refer to thinking that was original in one or some aspects of the thinking perspective and thinking process, which resulted in creative outcomes. According to Zhang Yu and Wang Cunkuan (2020), creative thinking referred to a specific ability based on knowledge and practice, which could be measured and developed, and it is a universal human phenomenon. 

2.2 Previous Researches Abroad and at Home

Based on the above understanding of the related terms, many scholars have also studied creative thinking and continuation writing. This part aims to elaborate on their relevant researches.

2.2.1 Previous Researches on Creative Thinking

In this research, typical theoretical and empirical researches on creative thinking by foreign and domestic scholars are concluded. 

The American psychologist Vollrath proposed a general model of creative thinking that included four stages: preparation, conception, clarification and verification.
