Among these principles, thecommon ground is evident particularly in accuracy, precision, clarity and concision.Moreover, broadly speaking, though the aim and criterion of translation vary depending ondifferent perspectives and genres, However, Newmark (1998: 44) maintained that whethercommunicative or semantic, the measure of accuracy is the criterion for translation. Inlegal translation, accuracy is essential since the translation activity is geared toward todeliver certain legal purpose and the finer differentiation among legal terms must bereflected as precisely as possible in linguistic forms (Ni et al, 2010: 168). Apart from theaccurate delivering, the legal information also needs to be made clear to better serve itspurpose. Therefore, the principles of accuracy and preciseness and the principles of clarity and conciseness are used in this translation practice as guiding principles.
