摘要:本文是一篇英语阅读论文,本研究选取了广东省新兴县某高中二年级的两个班的学生作为研究对象,两个班的学生人数分别为38人。一个班为实验班,另一个班为控制班。
本文是一篇英语阅读论文,笔者根据研究结果,本研究提出以下教学启示。其一,在运用叙事教学法时,英语阅读教学活动应该以学生为中心。其二,叙事任务的设计应该考虑学生的阅读水平,阅读材料和输出任务的数量等因素。其三,评价机制要合理考虑任务的完成度,叙事的丰富度,语言的流利度和小组合作等因素。
Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Research Background
National English Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2020 Revision),NECSfor short in the following texts,puts forward the core competence in English:language ability,cultural awareness,thinking quality,and learning ability.The curriculum objectives stress thatstudents should be able to integrate their existing language knowledge in familiar specificcontexts,understand the meanings expressed in spoken and written texts,and use spoken andwritten language effectively to express meaning and communicate with others.Meanwhile,students should establish a correct view of English learning and keep their interest in Englishlearning.Regarding teaching advice,the NECS points out that teachers should practice theactivity-based approach to English learning to promote the effective formation of corecompetence.What is more,the NECS makes it clear that activities are the primary form ofEnglish learning.Teachers should re-examine the rationality and effectiveness of classroominstructional design from the perspective of an activity-based approach to English learning,integrate course contents,and optimize their teaching methods.In this way,teachers candesign situational,hierarchical,and practical English learning activities for students,who canbe guided to adopt independent and cooperative learning styles while exploring the theme'smeaning.Reading class in senior high is an important place to help cultivate students'corecompetence.Teachers should pay attention to the following three points in English readingteaching.Firstly,pay attention to the creation of real situations.Secondly,guide the studentsto participate in the learning activities through independent and cooperative learning.Thirdly,cultivate students'interest in reading and improve their English reading motivation.
1.2 Research Objectives and Significance
This study aims to explore the effect of narrative approach on English reading motivationand reading level of senior high school students.It also discusses whether narrative approachcan improve learners'reading motivation and reading level,interest in English reading,andlearning methods.This study summarizes the application of narrative approach in foreignlanguage teaching,and uses experiments to test the effectiveness of narrative approach inEnglish reading teaching.Thus,this study answers whether narrative approach is better thanthe traditional PWP(Pre-reading,While reading,Post-reading)teaching model combined with the lecturing method in English reading teaching.It also answers whether narrative approachcan improve learners'English reading motivation and improve students'English readingperformance.
