摘要:随着中国经济的持续强劲,对外交流的日益频繁,英语作为世界语言,在中国,受到越来越多的关注,中国学习英语的兴趣越来越浓。每个人都想说一口流利的英语。然而,对于大多数高中学生学习英语在交流的过程中,往往是哑巴英语现象。

d English for at least three years, theycan not express themselves freely in English or their spoken English can not be understood by Englishnative speakers. Therefore, the author wants to find the present situation of spoken English in senior highschool and the very reasons why some students have little interest to speak English and also tries to getthe right and efficient solutions to how to teach and learn oral English in senior high school. The authorwants to find out the reasons in the process of English learning and teaching.


  
  1.3 Research Objectives研究目标
  At present, English teaching in senior high school lays particular emphasis on reading, writing,grammar and so on, while spoken English teaching are lagging far behind. What is more, there does notexist oral test assessment in college entrance examination in Henan province. Therefore, how to applythe efficient ways to improving students’ spoken English under the condition of only written examinationis my destination all of my days. One of my thesis’s main aims is to blend spoken English teaching inEnglish classroom teaching. This thesis will explore the current situation of spoken English teaching andlearning in senior high school through questionnaires and classroom observation, and search for thesuitable spoken English teaching ways, to integrate spoken English teaching into classroom teaching inevery regard. Its aim is to set up a favorable environment, foster senior high school students’ interest inspoken English, promote the improvement of spoken English ability, and realize the target of oralcommunicative ability.


  
  1.4 An Overall Structure of the Thesis论文总体结构
  In order to get the research objectives, this thesis will be composed of 6 chapters. Chapter one is abrief introduction to research background, research motivation, research objectives and overall structureof the thesis. Chapter two presents the fundamental theoretical framework of this paper including therelevant research on the features of speaking and spoken English teaching at home and abroad. Chapterthree deals with the research design of this thesis. The author conducts questionnaire survey amongstudents and teachers on the current situation of spoken English teaching and learning in Kaifeng NO.2Experimental High School. Chapter four gives the results and discussion of this research, including theresults and discussion of classroom observation, the results and discussion of questionnaires and theauthor’s suggestions for teachers, students and the school leaders. Chapter five is the concluding remarks.It consists of the major findings, pedagogical implications and limitations of this thesis and the prospectsof this research.
