The lost generation has felt the emptiness of the life, but they could find nothing to stuff it. One of The spokesmen of the “lost generation” Scott, Fitzgerald tried to realize the dream through the way of becoming rich, but as his main figure in his novel—Great Gatsby, he failed. And for the “lost generation” the war totally cuts off the relation between the histories, and destroyed the traditional Ethics. As the world culture erode into mass culture. As Williams suggests: “it is a culture, well-liked by many people, full of inferior works; and works deliberately setting out to win the favor of the people.” Each aspect of these threatened the traditional notions of the cultural cohesion and stability. The “lost generation” helped to create a culture which requires a high level of understanding and reasserted the traditional values.
B. More Indulgence in the Materialism
