摘要:本文是初中英语教学论文,通过对本实验所收集的资料和数据进行分析,笔者发现,过程写作法确实能够提高初中生的英语写作兴趣和动机,并且有助于提高他们的英语写作水平。在某种程度上可以说,过程写作法是提高初中生英语写作能力的好方法。

In writing, the teacher can neither supervise students’ actions, nor find the errors in organization immediately, nor know the pressure and anxiety involved in writing. The teacher has to work for a long time to read over students’ compositions. Students do not realize the importance of teacher’s feedback. Usually they just have a quick look and put the compositions to their schoolbags. Though the teacher corrects compositions attentively, students always make similar mistakes and cannot write good compositions. As a result, teachers’ hard work has no effect and it is hard to improve English writing teaching.

1.2 Aims of the research
From the literature concerning the process writing approach, it can be seen that the studies in domestic are mostly in universities and senior high schools. The related studies in junior high schools are relatively few, especially the experimental studies. At present, the effect of English writing teaching is not optimistic. Most English teachers in junior high schools in China still mainly adopt product writing approach, which has many disadvantages. Many English learners have lost interests and confidence in writing even in English study. They hold a negative attitude and think they can’t improve their writing ability any more. This situation needs to be changed. The author adopts the process writing approach aiming at improving it. The study intends to test the effect that process writing approach has on students’ English writing in junior high schools. More specifically, the author wants to know whether the process writing approach could strengthen students’ English writing interests and motivation and improve their writing ability.
