摘要:多元智力理论诞生以来已经有27年。在那些年里,美国学者对此进行了深入和成熟的研究。现在,它已经成为一个完整的理论体系。

> 5) Visual-Spatial IntelligenceThis intelligence refers to people’s capability for perceiving andexpressing visual and spatial information. Besides, the sensitivity for colors,lines, shapes, spaces and the relations among them is also contained in it.
6) Interpersonal IntelligenceThe performances of this intelligence are to understand others’ purposes,motivations, and then to work effectively with others.
7) Intrapersonal IntelligenceThis intelligence involves capabilities of self-understanding, adjustingone’s own lives and adapting well with one’s own personal traits such asaspirations, fears and capabilities.


Chapter2 Research Design


2.1 An Overview of Research Methodology
Pluralistic research methods including quantitative and qualitativemethods are applied in this research. The quantitative research, which is themain part, is done by sending out closed questionnaires on the spot or viainternet. The qualitative research, which serves as an aiding part, is realizedby semi-open interviews. The advantages of combining two differentresearch methods together are listed as following: firstly, the results ofquantitative research can be verified by the outcome of qualitative research,so the reliability and validity of this research can be enhanced; secondly, theresearch questions can be analyzed from different levels and angles at thesame time; thirdly, the qualitative words can be applied to explain theresults of quantitative research. Thus the questions can be explored in adeeper level.


2.2 An Overview of Research Contents and Tracks
This research aims at finding out the benign matches between collegestudents’ multiple intelligences and English learning styles, so the authorcombines multiple intelligences with English learning styles together forexploring the relations between them. And the author investigates whichlearning style is suitable for one college student according to his/herintelligent preference.Three sub-questions are included as the following points. 1) What arethe distribution features of non-English majors’ multiple intelligences andEnglish learning styles? 2) What are the mutual relations amongnon-English majors’ intelligences and English learning styles in everydimension? 3) What are the benign matches between non-English majors’ intelligences and English learning styles? And what’s the match model?
