摘要:本文是英语教学论文,本文试图了解语言教师对于学校变化的态度,尤其是关于应试教育以及随之而来的对课程、评估以及教学材料的改革的看法, 并试图找到教师态度和教学行为之间的关系。
To draw a fuller picture concerning teacher attitude under new circumstances and help two targeted teachers’ reflection shade more insights into the research topic, researcher firstly did questionnaire survey to 19 teachers of English Department (including Teacher A and Teacher B) to find out teachers’ general perceptions on school environment and classroom teaching. Among the questionnaire questions, 6 are concerned with how teacher perceive the general working environment. That is: teaching in higher vocational college under the new standards. The topics concerning and the results are listed and analyzed in the following part: 12 teachers (63%) believe teachers' teaching practice ability is more important while 5 teachers (26%) hold that it is essential for teachers to acquire the professional requirements about major subjects and professional skill practice ability. The result indicates that most teachers in City College put weight on practical experience and ability over research ability or disciplinary knowledge. This finding is consistent with the principles City College makes about general teaching aim – exam-oriented, skill-oriented rather than research-oriented. Though some teachers think it is necessary for them to learn the requirements about major subjects and professional skill practice ability in those domains, considering the feature of college English, it is not reasonable for each teacher to learn every subject.
