ins omission and transference, which is in line with Qiu’s thought, but relative zero translation not only covers complementary translation (such as Coca Cola, translated into 可口可乐) which is partly included in transliteration, but also contains some translation strategies with different motivations for classification like literal translation with
notes and adaptation. This kind of understanding and discussion, of not enough persuasion, deviates from the original concept to a certain degree. Zhang Zhiying and Zhu Qin (2007) take omission out of Qiu’s zero translation from the linguistic angle and divide it into complete zero translation and partial zero translation corresponding to transference and transliteration, but with no more reasons for doing this there is only a citation from Zhang Nanfeng (2002) saying that omission should not be included in zero translation. They think that zero translation is an objective new translation strategy, different from untranslatability and non-translation, and it conforms to the Principle of Least Effort and the Principle of Functional Equivalence.

Chapter 5 Direct Borrowing and Translation
The above three chapters discussed zero translation itself, including formation, development, current situation, as well as the classification and its essence. However, a word or phrase only makes sense when it is in contact with other words, and it’s not enough to discuss on its own, so to analyze a concept must explore the interaction between the concept and its context. The following two chapters will put “zero translation”, i.e. direct borrowing, into the concept
