s to use all their sensory representation to fully understand it. Differently put, large quantities of experiential discourse can be found in literature works because experiential discourse refers to words, sentences or texts that describe the sensory experience undergone by a subject. Since the translation of literary works, which constitutes a major share of the translation studies, involves dealing with human sensory experience, it is of value to study how to reproduce in the target text essentially the same phenomenal effect as that of the source text. Currently, in the field of literary translation, domestic and foreign scholars have done considerable translation practice and proposed multiple theories, many of which not only advocate the importance of accurately representing lexical or sentence meaning, but also emphasize the significance of reproducing the source meaning in a broader sense, in terms of “function” and “culture” etc. It cannot be ignored that the move from translation as text towards translation as culture has held sway in literary translation studies.
