1引言

1 Introduction

　　　The study of turn-taking is the most popular point among conversation analysis. In the study of turn-taking, most of the corpora are English, and Chinese corpora are relatively few. In the meantime, because TV show is becoming so popular, many researchers begin to pay close attention to the conversation analysis in these TV shows. These studies are mostly focused on talk shows, chat shows or some entertainment programs, yet few studies of dating shows are available.
　　　Recently, a Chinese dating show is hot, and the dialogues in the program are specific and original. This thesis aims to analyze the turn-taking mechanisms in conversion of the Chinese dating show Fei Cheng Wu Rao.
1.1 Purpose and Significance of the Study
　　　This thesis is based on the conversation in the TV dating show Fei Cheng Wu Rao to meticulously analyze the turn-taking in the dialogue. The aim is to analyze the turn-taking between the guests and guests, the hosts and the guests, the hosts and hosts. This thesis then analyzes the turn-taking mechanisms in their conversations from four aspects, the host's and the guests' starting, claiming, yielding and holding a turn, and demonstrates the differences between host and guests on turn-control strategies.
　　　The studies on turn-taking in TV talk shows are commonplace, and there is seldom study on turn-taking in TV dating shows. This thesis is mainly based on Chinese corpora, and this study is different from the other studies on TV talk show. To some degree the turns in Fei Cheng Wu Rao are quite distinct to other programs. In other TV shows the turns are nearly between two persons, but in Fei Cheng Wu Rao, the turns are taken by the hosts and the guests. Studies of this kind of turns which are distributed among several persons are hardly ever found. Studying this program can help people to know how the hosts and the guests keep balance the turns. And the study on what kind of choice that one person takes between two turns is significant.
　　　Since the study is based on natural conversations in TV dating show which have become one of the most popular program of people’s entertainment, so the analysis of the TV dating show can help people to appreciate it from a new angle.
1.2 Rationale of the Study
　　　This thesis focuses on the analysis of turn-taking mechanisms in dating shows; the reasons can be explained as the following points:
　　　First, since turn is the basic unit of conversation (Sacks et al., 1974), and to a great extent, it determines the process and styles of conversations, turn-taking strategies used by the participants deserve our attention. Through the analysis of turn-taking strategies in conversation, it can be figured out why the participants chose these turn-taking
