摘要:本文是高中英语教学论文,通过数据分析可得出结论,在初中使用思维导图辅助英语教学方法能够激发学生学习英语的兴趣和热情,提高学生阅读能力和策略,加强学生对关键信息的长时记忆,并且拓展学生的发散思维能力。

2.1 Researches on Mind Map
In traditional teaching process of English reading, the teachers paid much more attention to explaining words, phrases and the sentences while ignoring the analysis and understanding of reading passage from the whole perspective. This teaching method will not only result in a literal sense of reading materials, but narrow students’ horizon. When the students failed to improve their reading abilities and reading achievements, the teachers intended to attribute the reasons to the lacking of vocabulary storage and reading exercises. Therefore, the students do exercises and recite the new words again and again. With such traditional teaching method, there are no obvious improvements of students’ reading achievements and their reading abilities. The expense of traditional teaching mode is to sacrifice the students' English reading interest and ability. Mind Map, a new kind of teaching method, describes the passage structure and the main content in a visual and simple form. The application of Mind Map to reading passage follows the rule that the main idea or topic is set in the central place of the map. And then the sub-central point and other key information are connected in the logical relationship. With this method, the structure and main content will be shown in a clear and systematic way. The students are capable of understanding the content more deeply and reciting the key point more easily. On the contrary of traditional English reading teaching method, Mind Map can help teachers improve their teaching effectiveness, and the teaching process will be more systematic and scientific. The adoption of Mind Map can help students release from the mechanical memory and exercises so as to enable them to give a full play of learning initiative. In this chapter, the author gives the introduction of the definition, characteristics, the application of Mind Map, and the researchers on Mind Map from abroad and home.
