bsp;senior  middle  school, especially  in  the  English  class,  in  which  teachers  carry  out  teaching  practices  by organizing  group  work  activities.  It  has  been  more  and  more  widely  seen  that  the students  are  being  guided  and  improved  in  terms  of  their  English  study.  There  are  a large  amount  of  researches  about  cooperative  learning  and  group  work  at  home  and abroad.  However,  Chinese  scholars’  researches  of  the  current  situation  of  the  group work  organization  in  English  classes  are  far  from  enough.  And  the  relevant investigations are not profound and comprehensive enough.  This study intends to investigate the current situation of group work organization during  English  classes  in  senior  high  school,  in  order  to  analyze  the  basic  process, organizational  language  and  behaviors  as  well  as  teachers’  teaching  approaches  and techniques of the group work activities in the period of organization of group work, as well  as  summarize  various  problems  confronted  during  the  teaching  process. Meanwhile,  the  study  also  intends  to  investigate  students'  opinions  and  views  of  the teachers’ group work organization that they have been involved in, which is in order to  find  whether  or  not  there  is  any  difference  between  the  students’  views  and  the teachers’ teaching practices.  The  current  situation  of  group  organization  during  English  classes  in  senior middle  school  and  opinions  of  the  students’  will  be  investigated  in  order  to  provide guidance  and  useful  experience  for  teachers  in  terms  of  better  organization  and control of the class during group work activities. It is hoped that through the research, teachers  shall  try  to  avoid  the  problems  reflected  in  the  organizing  process  and  and then  make  effective  and  targeted  improvement;  teachers  shall  also  apply  more efficient  approaches  and  techniques  in  their  routine  teaching  practices,  so  as  to improve their teaching level and quality on the whole.
