d Speech Act Theory. The chosen scholars and researchers whose topics or research questions are relevant to show the statues quo and prevailing academic tendencies of each aspects. In the end of each aspect a brief summary follows to conclude the strengths, weaknesses of and possible ways to improve those studies in the  research.  The  final  part  will  briefly  summarize  this  chapter  and  present  the  academic approach of the research.  

2.1 Legal Reporting 
Many  journalists  have  explored  issues  of  limits  and  status  quo  of  legal  case  reporting.  The following are representative studies by Xia Yu and Cheng Guo, Chen Xiaomin, Yao Guangyi. The  study  of  Xia  Yu  and  Cheng  Guo  (2012),  scholars  of  journalism,  shed  lights  on  the current situation of report of judicature activities. Legal reportting, as a branch of news report, not only provides information concerning judicial activities and popularizing the law, but also acts  as  an  important  power  in  supervising  judicature  and  upholding  justice.  Unfortunately, heterization  of  legal  report  has  subverted  the  value  of  news  releasing,  even  made  it  be  of negative  effects  on  some  occasions.  Heterization  of  judicial  report  refers  to  phenomena including trial by media, news infringement, collective silence of the media and entertainment-oriented.  Under  the  theoretical  bases  of  journalism,  communication  and  law,  they  offered suggestions  overcoming  herterization.  Their  research  overemphasized  the  role  of  media  in affecting judicature but it ignored the indispensable participant——the public. After all, what drives legal reporting to be heterized is to satisfy the curiosity of the public and attract more attention.

2.2 Netizens’ Comments 
Although  some  linguists  have  noticed  the  language  of  legal  reporting  and  approached  it  via descriptive analyses of linguistic features, discursive strategies analysis, however, seldom do linguistics  incorporate  legal  aspects  into  discussion.  Under  this  category  are  respresentative studies by Li Xinghe, Liu Jing and Li Wenbo, Ke Yun. Li Xinghe (2013), put emphasized on netizens’ comments on major legal cases in his thesis written to obtain master degree. He reviewed 30 legal cases and discussed 10 of them in detail. All of them were heated topics on Internet. Moreover, he discovered the similarities of netizens’comments and then classified them into three categories: expressing public hatred for special groups; regarding law as a tool for vengeance; strongly doubting justice. Li gave the idea that part of netizens’ comments will be the voice of the public’s irrational feelings and can cause negative influence on justice.
