摘要:本文是初中英语教学论文,本文作者从 2016 年 9 月到 12 月在河北邢台威县贺钊中学展开实验。实验对象由 90 个学生组成。学生来自于八年级的两个班级,一个做实验班一个做控制班,前提是其它的变量都得到控制。

Chapter Ⅱ Literature Review
2.1Defining the Flipped Classroom
Basically the concept of a flipped classroom is: that which is traditionally done in class but now is done at home, and that which is traditionally done as homework but now is completed in class (Bergmann& Sams, 2011). Perhaps the simplest definition of the flipped (or inverted) classroom is given by Lage et al. 'Inverting the classroom means that events that have traditionally taken place inside the classroom now take place outside the classroom and vice versa' (Lage, Platt,&Treglia, 2000). The idea of the flipped classroom allows students to receive one-to-one attention during a video lesson, which acts as the students’ homework; the students then come to class ready to use the information that was taught, to work collaboratively with others, and expand their knowledge (Tucker, 2012). “In the flipped classroom model, what is normally done in class and what is normally done as homework is switched or flipped” (Herreid & Schiller, 2013).With the concept of a flipped classroom, the teacher creates or finds a video that teaches the students the lesson, then the class time for the next school day is used for the teachers to help the students make a meaningful connection with the information previously learned (Dugdale & Charles, 2014). Since the teacher no longer has to present a lecture, the teacher’s role during class is to guide students to make meaningful connections, as well as focus on any concerns that students may have about the material (Lasry, Dugdale, and Charles, 2014).
