Abstracts:The purpose of this study is through the differences of equality and diversity management in recruitment between the UK and China to understand the status of diversity management in China and bring forward recommendations for China's diversity management. In this thesis, it takes London Met students and Chinese undergraduates in Guangdong as the objects of a questionnaire to learn about the discrimination they have encountered in the course of job-hunting, using it as a basis to understand the phenomenon of discrimination and differences existing in the UK’s and China’s labor markets. In addition, through interviews with 10 enterprises of the world's top 500 enterprises in Guangdong, China and London, it gets to know the reasons of the existence of discrimination in recruitment. The findings show that there are significant differences of gender discrimination, age discrimination and disability discrimination between the UK’s and China’s labor markets, while there is no significant difference of racial discrimination, religious discrimination and discrimination of sexual orientation.
