摘要:本文是一篇高中英语教学论文,根据课堂观察和访谈,广西高中英语新手教师的教师话语有一些主要的发现。新手英语教师的教师话语时间比学生长。新手英语教师在英语教学中使用的英语不多。英语新手教师使用的评价方式和反馈方式的类型并没有尽可能的多样化。显然,在新手英语教师的课堂上,展示性问题多于参照性问题。新手教师在课堂设计和控制方面都比较薄弱。因此,英语新手教师今后应该提高他们使用教师话语的能力。
Secondly, affected by the teaching design, the discourse quantity of teacher talkand student talk varies from different class activities. If there are more groupdiscussions, group performances and other kind of class activities for students toparticipate in, the quantity of student talk will increase dramatically. If the teacherswant to train the students’ speaking ability or give them more chance to talk, theteachers should plan more class activities for students to attend. Sometimes, someteachers think that their students are not willing to join class activities, so they givelecture only by the way of teacher’s presentation, rather than holding some interestingactivities for students.

6.1 The Summary of the Study
According to class observation and interviews, there are some main findingsabout the novice English teachers’ teacher talk in senior high schools in Guangxi. Thetime length of teacher talk for the novice English teachers is longer than that of thestudent time. The novice English teachers do not use much English in Englishteaching. The types of evaluation ways and feedback manners used by novice Englishteachers are not as diverse as possible. Obviously, there are more displayed questionsthan referential question in novice English teacher’s class. And novice teachers areweak in classroom design and control. Thus, the novice English teachers shouldimprove their ability to use teacher talk in the future.
This present study of novice English teachers’ teacher talk focuses on studyingthe situation of novice teachers. Obviously, it is a case study. The research samplesare limited. In this study, 3 novice teachers in senior high schools are selected for thisresearch. Even though these 3 novice teachers are from 2 different senior high schools,but the research samples are not extensive enough.
