摘要:As one of the basic language skills, writing is an essential part in English teaching.More and more concern is paid on it. During the writing teaching process, writing feedbackis a very important part. Efficient use of feedback can do a big favor to English writingteaching and English writing learning.
Conclusion
This part mainly talks about major findings of the current situation of feedback inEnglish writing, students’ performance after taking the experiment and their attitudestoward the feedback.From the findings of the current situation of feedback in English writing, it is foundthat, in current writing teaching, the feedback that teacher used is only teacher feedback.During the procedure of teachers’ revision, there are many problems in correction,comments, evaluation and rewriting. Teacher feedback mainly focuses on vocabulary usingand grammar errors. The writing content and writing structure are seldom noticed whenteacher is giving feedback. At the same time, in the aspect of writing skills, neither teachersnor students pay attention to this aspect in their writing teaching and learning. During theprocess of teacher feedback, teachers feel tired and puzzled that no matter how hard theywork, they still can not improve students’ writing. They feel that, in the procedure ofwriting, they just repeat picking out the errors in students’writings and students just repeatcorrecting these errors. There is no improvement at all. In the same situation, students feelnegative to teachers’ feedback. Teachers spend much time revising students’ writings, butstudents usually ignore the feedback and only have a glance of the grade. But both teachersand students agree that students should learn to revise their own passages and they have awillingness to try to let students join in the procedure of feedback.
